About the Staff:

Scott Whittington – Principal
With a background in commercial office management, development, and ownership, Scott has personally leased 150,000 square feet of office space to the State of New Mexico and over 500,000 square feet to the private sector. Before establishing Avalon, Scott, with his uncle, acquired over 500,000 square feet of office buildings in the Albuquerque area. As 1/3 owner of this portfolio, Scott learned the importance of hands-on management and the value of tenant relationships. It is this experience that leads Scott to realize that tenants want more out of their space than just walls.

Scott has completed the development of many projects, including a 34,000 square foot facility housing the Computer Science Research Institute for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque’s Science and Technology Park. Scott also recently finished the renovation of a historical 37,000 square foot office building in downtown Albuquerque. The building is now 100 percent leased and was nominated for a NAIOP award for Best Renovated Building. Scott is currently working with several retailers in the Albuquerque / Phoenix areas, and is on the board of directors for NAIOP and the Albuquerque Art Museum.
